WhatsApp Invitations

Send event invitations on WhatsApp, the channel guests actually open

PrivePas delivers each guest a personal WhatsApp message with a link to RSVP and open their own QR entry pass. You choose exactly who to send to, and nothing goes out until you ask.

In Nigeria most guests read WhatsApp long before they open email. PrivePas sends each guest their invitation there: a personal message with a button that opens their invite page, where they RSVP and view or download their unique QR entry pass. It is the same pass your team scans at the gate, so the whole journey from invite to entry runs through the channel people already use. WhatsApp delivery is live in production alongside email, and the two channels are fully separate, so you decide which one to use for whom.

A personal invite, not a group blast

Each guest receives their own WhatsApp message tied to their own invite link. Opening it takes them to their personal invite page to RSVP and open their QR pass. Because the link is unique to the guest, the pass they get is theirs alone, and it is the same single-use code your gate scans.

  • One personal WhatsApp message and invite link per guest
  • The link opens their page to RSVP and view or download their QR pass
  • The same unique, single-use pass is what your team scans at the gate
  • Sent through an approved WhatsApp Business template

You choose who to send to, and nothing sends itself

WhatsApp is never sent automatically. From the communications view you tick the specific guests you want, whether that is one person or the whole list, and send. If someone missed theirs, you can resend to just those guests without touching anyone else, and without disturbing a message that is already in flight.

  • Explicit send: nothing goes out until you press send
  • Select any set of guests, from one to the entire list
  • Resend to only the guests who need it
  • Email is a separate channel, so sending one never triggers the other

WhatsApp and email, side by side

Some guests have a phone number, some have an email, some have both. PrivePas lets you deliver the same invitation on either channel, so a guest with no email can still get their pass on WhatsApp, and a guest with no WhatsApp number still gets theirs by email. You are never forced into one channel.

  • Deliver by WhatsApp, by email, or use each where it fits
  • Guests without an email are reachable on WhatsApp, and the reverse
  • The invitation and pass are identical on both channels

Respectful by default

Guests stay in control too. Anyone can reply STOP on WhatsApp to opt out, and PrivePas records that and stops messaging them. Delivery runs through WhatsApp’s approved Business messaging, so your invitations arrive as legitimate, expected messages rather than spam.

From WhatsApp invite to gate entry

The WhatsApp message is the first step of one connected flow: the guest RSVPs, gets their QR pass, and arrives at your event, where your team scans that exact pass in about a second. Invitation, RSVP and entry are the same system, so nothing is re-keyed between them.

Frequently asked questions

Can PrivePas send invitations through WhatsApp?

Yes. WhatsApp invitation delivery is live in production alongside email. PrivePas sends each guest a personal WhatsApp message with a button that opens their invite page to RSVP and view their unique QR entry pass.

Does WhatsApp send automatically?

No. WhatsApp is only sent when you ask. You tick the specific guests you want and press send. Nothing is ever pushed to WhatsApp on its own.

Can I resend to just a few guests?

Yes. You can select any set of guests, from one person to the whole list, and resend to only them, without affecting anyone else and without disturbing a message already in flight.

What does the guest actually receive?

A personal WhatsApp message with a link to their own invite page. There they RSVP and open or download their unique QR entry pass, the same pass your team scans at the gate.

Do I still have email as an option?

Yes. WhatsApp and email are separate channels. You can deliver by either, so guests without an email are reachable on WhatsApp and guests without a WhatsApp number still get theirs by email.

Can a guest stop receiving messages?

Yes. A guest can reply STOP on WhatsApp to opt out, and PrivePas records that and stops messaging them. Delivery runs through WhatsApp’s approved Business messaging.
