WhatsApp Invitations Are Coming to PrivePas

Email is not where most Nigerian guests actually check for invitations. WhatsApp is. Here is what we are building.

If you've sent event invitations by email in Nigeria, you already know the problem half the time, they land in spam, get missed entirely, or the guest simply doesn't check that inbox regularly. WhatsApp is where the actual conversation happens for most Nigerian events, which is why we're building direct WhatsApp invitation delivery into PrivePas.

What's Coming

  • Guests receive their personalised invitation card and QR code directly on WhatsApp, not just email
  • Delivery status you can see, sent, delivered, and read, the same way you would in a normal WhatsApp chat
  • The same duplicate-proof, unique QR code system already used for email invitations, just delivered where guests actually look

Why This Matters

An invitation that never gets opened doesn't help anyone reach the gate smoothly. Meeting guests on the platform they actually check daily closes that gap, and for event owners it means fewer "I never got my invite" messages the morning of the event.

When It's Available

WhatsApp delivery is in active development. If you want early access once it rolls out, join our early access list your event's invitation delivery method won't change without your say-so, this is an additional option alongside email, not a replacement.
