Two of the most common frustrations we hear from security staff using any check-in system are the same: it's too slow when the gate gets busy, and it stops working the moment the venue's network gets weak. We rebuilt the scanning engine specifically to close both gaps.
Faster at the Gate
The scanning flow now responds noticeably quicker per guest scan, confirm, next. For events with continuous arrivals, that difference compounds fast a faster response per guest means shorter lines and less bottlenecking at busy entrances, especially in the first 30 minutes when most guests tend to arrive at once.
Fully Offline, By Design
This isn't a fallback mode that kicks in only when the network drops it's how the scanner works by default once your event is prepared. Before your event starts, the guest list downloads directly onto the staff device. From that point, every scan, every duplicate check, every check-in record happens entirely on the phone itself. No live connection required.
The moment a connection returns even briefly everything that happened offline syncs automatically to your dashboard. Nothing needs to be manually reconciled afterward.
Why We Built It This Way
Nigerian event venues are not known for consistent WiFi, and mobile data inside a hall packed with hundreds of phones is rarely reliable either. A check-in system that depends on a perfect connection isn't really built for the venues events actually happen in. This update means your gate keeps running exactly the same whether the venue's internet is excellent or nonexistent.
What You Need to Do
Nothing changes in how you use the platform the improvements apply automatically. Just remember the "prepare event" step still needs to happen while there's a connection available, typically before you leave for the venue, since that's what downloads the guest list to the device ahead of time.
